Mineral Species: Set of nine minerals from the fault zones of
NYC Water Tunnel No. 3. Location of origin: Queens Tunnel excavation, Queens, Woodside, Queens, New York City, Queens County, New York. Description: Nine specimens collected from fault zones exposed by the TBM tunnel excavation mounted in a cardboard box with accompanying booklet. Minerals include stilbite, calcite, chabazite, heulandite, pyrite, epidote, chlorite. Collected between 1996 to 1999 by Charles Merguerian, project geologist. Overall size: 13x13x3.5 cm box. |
