Minerals Species: Sphalerite.
Location of mineral deposit: Elmwood Mine, Carthage, Smith County, Tennessee.
Description: Showy cluster of complexly crystallized lustrous brown sphalerite crystals with no matrix attached. The sphalerite is translucent and all crystals are in parallel orientation resulting in simultaneous reflections. This famous mine is now closed. No damage.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 8x7x6 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-35 mm.
Price: $95 (plus shipping).
