Minerals Species: Pyrite with Galena.
Location of mineral deposit: Huracán Mine, Morococha District, Yauli Province, Peru.
Description: Large single crystal of yellow-metallic pyrite fully crystallized on all faces except one edge where it was attached to matrix. Two faces have a dull gray surface coating of galena, apparently where galena crystals grew on the pyrite. Scattered damage to the crystal edges throughout. Ex. Steve Chamberlain collection #4155, originally acquired in 1982.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 9x7x7 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 9 cm.
Price: $45 (plus shipping).
