Minerals Species: Opal (var. Fire Opal Hydrophane).
Location of mineral deposit: near Mezezo, Shewa (also Shoa or Showa) Plateau, Amhara, Ethiopia.
Description: Oval cabochon of white precious opal with brilliant green-orange internal fire (play of colors) running throughout the opal. This is top grade opal from the leading local miner and is hydrophane opal which requires no storage in water. One of my best. No damage. Total weight 19.48 carats.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 28x23x10 mm.
Size of individual crystals: n/a
Price: $1150 net (plus shipping).
