Minerals Species: Chrysocolla with Quartz overgrowth.
Location of mineral deposit: Ray Mine, Mineral Creek District, Pinal County, Arizona.
Description: Crusts of blue-green chrysocolla on botryoidal brown goethite-hematite with overgrowth of sparkling transparent colorless quartz crystals. The color of the chrysocolla is visible through the quartz crystals. No damage.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 6x4x4 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 0.1-0.2 mm.
Price: $55 (plus shipping).
