Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 40786:

Minerals Species: Penfieldite Pb2Cl3(OH) with Boleite.
Location of mineral deposit: Sierra Gorda District, Antofagasta, Chile.
Description: Superbly crystallized rare penfieldite crystals on matrix with blue boleite. One of the best found. The penfieldite is colorless, six-sided, long tapering crystals, with minute striations. The penfieldite fluoresces yellow under UV illumination. No damage is visible to the unaided eye, minute edge chipping is visible under 20x magnification. Collected August 2001.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 35x21x15 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 0.2-1.2 mm.
Price: $125 (plus shipping).
