Minerals Species: Zincite* (crystals!) on Franklinite* with Willemite.
Location of mineral deposit: Franklin, Sussex County, New Jersey. (This is the Type Locality for the mineral *) Click here to see other minerals from Type localities.
Description: Rare crystals of translucent red to red-brown zincite in small cavities in gray metallic franklinite with minor white willemite. The willemite fluoresces bright green under UV illumination. Many cavities throughout have excellent zincite crystals (rare). Ex. John Albanese, Jr..
Overall size of mineral specimen: 6x6x3 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 0.5 mm.
