Minerals Species: Quartz var. Smoky-Amethyst.
Location of mineral deposit: Eastman Quarry, Millennium Pocket, Deer Hill, Stow, Oxford County, Maine.
Description: Doubly-terminated group of parallel quartz crystals with dark-smoky to pale-purple amethyst color internally and glassy crystal faces. All crystals are complete and undamaged, except the outer edges where it was attached to surrounding matrix. Collected May-June 2000.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 8x6x4 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-5 cm.
Price: $125 (plus shipping).
