Minerals Species: Celestine.
Location of mineral deposit: Stoneco Portage Quarry, Wood County, Ohio.
Description: Glassy celestine (celestite) crystals in parallel orientation and no matrix attached. The celestine is nearly colorless, with a blue zone near the base. The cluster sits upright nicely without additional support. Though the crystals are clean and in good condition, a few edges show minute nicks upon close inspection, but they are minor compared to the relative size of the specimen.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 6x3x1.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 15-30 mm.
Price: $25 (plus shipping).
