Minerals Species: Barite with Calcite.
Location of mineral deposit: Elk Creek, Meade County, South Dakota.
Description: Slender golden barite crystals up to 40 mm long on calcite-coated brown matrix. The barite fluoresces white under UV illumination. Note the dome-shaped growth patterns on the barite surfaces. On crystal is restored. No damage. Ex. Robert C. Lambert #426.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 9x8x5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 15-40 mm.
