Minerals Species: Dioptase on Calcite.
Location of mineral deposit: Tsumeb Mine, Otavi-Bergland District, Oshikoto, Namibia.
Description: Flat plate of crystallized white calcite crystals coated with translucent lustrous emerald-green dioptase crystals up to 13 mm across. The contrast of the green dioptase against the white calcite is very aesthetic. The smallest crystals are transparent. Most crystals are complete and undamaged, but a few crystals are incomplete. Ex. Robert C. Lambert #127; ex. Zweibels.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 10x7x2.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 0.5-13.0 mm.
Price: $3750 net (plus shipping).
