Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 41806:

Minerals Species: Quartz var. Amethyst (Cactus Quartz).
Location of mineral deposit: 20 km west of Pretoria, Magaliesberg Mountains, Guateng, South Africa.
Description: Purple amethyst crystals up to 6 cm long with overgrowth of smaller 2-3 mm amethyst crystals around the prism faces of the larger crystals, but they do not coat the larger terminations of the underlying crystals. The crystal faces are clean and in good condition, the outer edges show minor wear. Ex. Robert C. Lambert #611.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 9x4x4 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-60 mm.
Price: $175 (plus shipping).
