Minerals Species: Dioptase.
Location of mineral deposit: Mindouli, Pool, Republic of Congo.
Description: Elongated lustrous emerald-green dioptase crystals with no matrix attached. The inner core of the crystals has layered growth of opaque and translucent dioptase as shown on the end of a crystal where it intersected the cavity wall.. Great color! No damage is visible to the unaided eye, minute edge chipping is visible under 20x magnification. Ex. Robert C. Lambert #99; acquired in 1975 from Pala.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 5x3x1 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 4-18 mm.
Price: $400 net (plus shipping).
