Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 42213:

Minerals Species: Apatite-(CaF) (formerly Fluorapatite).
Location of mineral deposit: Minas do Panasqueira, Covilha, Castelo Branco, Portugal.
Description: Exceptionally large translucent greenish-gray apatite crystals with striated prism faces and flat pinacoid terminations. The crystals on this specimen are as large as this famous locality has ever produced. All crystals are complete and undamaged, except the outer edges where it was attached to surrounding matrix. Ex. Robert C. Lambert #30; acquired in 2004.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 8x7x5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 3-8 cm.
Price: $1200 net (plus shipping).
