Minerals Species: Gypsum var. Selenite.
Location of mineral deposit: Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.
Description: Two intersecting transparent yellow selenite variety of gypsum crystals with cleavage faces on the bottom, and remnants of clay matrix on one termination. The gypsum fluoresces under UV illumination and the color is internally zoned with colorless bands. Ex. Robert C. Lambert #451; ex. Yale University; acquired in 1998 from P. Scalisi.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 7x5x3 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 7-3 cm.
Price: $375 (plus shipping).
