Minerals Species: Chalcocite with Chalcopyrite-Bornite coating.
Location of mineral deposit: Flambeau Mine, Lucky Friday Pocket, 402-1000 Level, Ladysmith, Rusk County, Wisconsin.
Description: Many twinned chalcocite crystals with dark coating of iridescent chalcopyrite-bornite on the surfaces. The specimen is fully crystallized on all sides with no point of attachment. For more information on the locality see: The Flambeau Mine in RM v.72 #5. No damage. Ex. Robert C. Lambert #87; acquired in 1999; ex Scott Williams.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 7x4x3.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-10 mm.
