Minerals Species: Elbaite Tourmaline.
Location of mineral deposit: Chapadinha Mine, Itinga, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Description: Transparent steel-blue elbaite tourmaline with interesting pink outer zones that show when light is passed through from rear. The elbaite crystal has a flat pinacoid termination with complex crystal patterns on the surface and edges. The crystal faces are clean and in good condition, the outer edges show minor wear.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 36x11x10 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 36 mm.
Price: $150 (plus shipping).
