Minerals Species: Diamond (1.27 carat gem-grade fancy yellow complex crystal).
Location of mineral deposit: Koffiefontein Mine, Free State (formerly Orange Free State), South Africa.
Description: Exceptionally clean gem-grade diamond crystal with fancy yellow color and complex combination of octahedral and dodecahedral forms. Internally the crystal is flawless with only two small inclusions, one in a corner, the other on the surface. No damage.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 6x5.5x4.5 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 6 mm.
