Minerals Species: Liddicoatite Tourmaline.
Location of mineral deposit: Alakamisy, north of Antsirabé, Antananarivo Province, Madagascar. (This is the Type Locality for the mineral *) Click here to see other minerals from Type localities.
Description: Polished slice of a transparent liddicoatite tourmaline crystal showing colorful internal zoning. The outer rind is green with pink middle and triangular purple-gray patterns in the center. This crystal was repaired where it cracked. Excellent zoning.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 55x50x3 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 55 mm.
Price: $650 net (plus shipping).
