Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 44069:

Minerals Species: Grossular Garnet in Quartz.
Location of mineral deposit: Pitts and Tenney Quarry, Minot, Androscoggin County, Maine.
Description: Lustrous dodecahedral orange-brown grossular garnet crystals with milky quartz in the spaces between the crystals. The grossular garnet crystals at this locality are always partial crystals that merge into massive grossular matrix. All crystals are complete and undamaged, except the outer edges where it was attached to surrounding matrix.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 11x6x5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 4-34 mm.
Price: $150 (plus shipping).
