Minerals Species: Quartz var. Amethyst.
Location of mineral deposit: Moqor, Mqakkhar Mountains, Ghanzi Province, Afghanistan.
Description: Translucent purple amethyst quartz crystal on wedge-shaped matrix with the bottom sawn flat. The amethyst crystals have milky centers and deeper purple color at the terminations. The tips of three crystals are bruised.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 8x8x6 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 10-30 mm.
