Minerals Species: Elbaite Tourmaline with Lepidolite.
Location of mineral deposit: Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Description: Translucent green elbaite tourmaline crystal 48 mm long with beige to pink lepidolite mica crystals to 3 mm attached to the sides. The core of the elbaite has altered to lepidolite, but the outer layers are transparent elbaite, revealing the lighter core No damage is visible to the unaided eye, minute edge chipping is visible under 20x magnification.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 52x25x18 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-48 mm.
Price: $175 (plus shipping).
