Minerals Species: Grossular Garnet.
Location of mineral deposit: Raymond, north shore of Panther Pond, Cumberland County, Maine.
Description: Sparkling cluster of lustrous red-brown grossular garnet crystals with white calcite in the spaces between the garnet crystals. The grossular crystals are transparent with trapezohedral form. Dates to the early 1890s work at this closed locality. No damage. ca. 1890.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 10x6.5x6 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-9 mm.
