Minerals Species: Copper in Calcite.
Location of mineral deposit: Copper Queen Mine, Bisbee, Cochise County, Arizona.
Description: Colorless transparent scalenohedral calcite crystals up to 10 mm with bright metallic copper inclusions visible inside and with arborescent native copper with brown patina in the crevices between the calcite crystals. All crystals are complete and undamaged, except the outer edges where it was attached to surrounding matrix. Ex. Chas. W. Velte Jr. (1914-1987) collection #61.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 4.5x4x3.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-10 mm.
