Minerals Species: Papagoite.
Location of mineral deposit: New Cornelia Mine, Ajo, Pima County, Arizona. (This is the Type Locality for the mineral *) Click here to see other minerals from Type localities.
Description: Well crystallized transparent blue papagoite crystals on one face of a small fragment of matrix. The largest papagoite crystal is almost 1 mm long - about the largest known of this rare species. Ex. Chas. W. Velte Jr. (1914-1987).
Overall size of mineral specimen: 7x6x5 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 0.2-0.9 mm.
Price: $125 (plus shipping).
