Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 45373:

Minerals Species: Andradite Garnet in Quartz.
Location of mineral deposit: Nightingale District, Pershing County, Nevada.
Description: Double-sided cluster of lustrous translucent brown andradite garnet crystals (species confirmed with EDS/SEM). The andradite garnet crystals are complex form, a combination of dodecahedral and trapezohedral. A new find, at an undisclosed mine. No damage to the crystals on the front of the specimen, but the rear shows minor damage where it was contacted by surrounding matrix. Collected in 2009.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 7.5x5.5x4.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-18 mm.
Price: $195 (plus shipping).
