Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 45481:

Minerals Species: Copper (crystallized) with Epidote.
Location of mineral deposit: Quincy Mine, Hancock, Keweenaw Peninsula Copper District, Houghton County, Michigan.
Description: Well crystallized native copper in crystals up to 14 mm across with a crust of translucent green epidote microcrystals on one side. The copper crystals are dodecahedral habit with trapezohedral secondary faces. One bottom side has saw marks. No damage. Ex. Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia collection #22665; donated by S. B. Whiting (Calumet & Hecla Mine manager from 1892-93).
Overall size of mineral specimen: 5x4.5x3 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 2-14 mm.
Price: $875 net (plus shipping).
