Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 45674:

Minerals Species: Calcite on Smoky Quartz.
Location of mineral deposit: roadcut near Haddam Neck, Middlesex County, Connecticut.
Description: Rounded knob of sparkling smoky quartz crystals with scalenohedral calcite crystals up to 25 mm. This was obtained directly from Mr. Kramer, a prolific field collector. Exact location is unknown, but is similar to Cinque Quarry specimens. All crystals are complete and undamaged, except the outer edges where it was attached to surrounding matrix. From my personal collection; ex. Hal Kramer.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 12x7x5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 2-25 mm.
Price: $150 (plus shipping).
