Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 45690:

Minerals Species: Quartz var. Amethyst on Calcite and Dolomite.
Location of mineral deposit: Capurru Quarry, Osilo, Sassari Province, Sardinia, Italy.
Description: Transparent purple-pink lustrous amethyst quartz crystals up to 25 mm long on transparent colorless calcite crystals to 3 mm and tan-colored dolomite crystals to 1 mm. Many of the amethyst quartz crystals are doubly-terminated. No damage. From my personal collection; ex. Fabrizio Ferrero.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 10x6x4.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 0.5-25.0 mm.
Price: $450 net (plus shipping).
