Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 45893:

Minerals Species: Calcite with Dioptase inclusions.
Location of mineral deposit: Tsumeb Mine, Otavi-Bergland District, Oshikoto, Namibia.
Description: Transparent rhombohedral lustrous pale-yellow calcite crystals to 10 mm across with green dioptase crystals included inside the calcite. Where the dioptase crystals are exposed around the edges they can be see to be highly transparent 1-2 mm crystals. No damage is visible to the unaided eye, minute edge chipping is visible under 20x magnification. From my private collection, originally acquired in 1989..
Overall size of mineral specimen: 11x7x4 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-10 mm.
