Minerals Species: Vanadinite.
Location of mineral deposit: La Paz County - Yuma County, Arizona.
Description: Transparent red to greenish-brown vanadinite crystals in white calcite crystal crusts. The exact locality or county is unknown (in 1983 northern Yuma County was split off to form separate La Paz County) but it resembles the Hamburg Mine. Scattered damage to the crystal edges throughout. Ex. J. Cilen (1916-1997) #17409; ex. Schortmann's; ex. Thurston's.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 5x4.5x2 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-8 mm.
Price: $25 (plus shipping).
