Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 46050:

Minerals Species: Quartz var. Amethyst.
Location of mineral deposit: July 4th Pocket, Intergalactic Pit, old Eastman Prospect, Deer Hill, Oxford County, Maine.
Description: Lustrous (rare for locality) transparent purple amethyst quartz crystal with glassy crystal faces and remnants of limonite-stained albite included in the bottom. See article in Rocks and Mineral v.69 #1: Amethyst Discovery on Deer Hill, Stow, Maine. The crystal faces are clean and in good condition, the outer edges show minor wear. From my personal collection, originally acquired in 1993.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 6x4.5x4 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 4.5 cm.
Price: $150 (plus shipping).
