Minerals Species: Quartz var. Amethyst.
Location of mineral deposit: Hollis Taylor property near Centerville, Franklin County, North Carolina.
Description: Parallel cluster of lustrous light-purple to smoky amethyst quartz crystals over milky quartz. Many of the amethyst crystals are doubly-terminated. The cluster is crystallized all around except for a large contact on the left corner. From my personal collection.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 7x5x3 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 5-50 mm.
Price: $115 (plus shipping).
