Minerals Species: Muscovite Mica.
Location of mineral deposit: near Shelby, Cleveland County, North Carolina.
Description: Sharp, well defined muscovite mica crystals with remnants of red-brown clay in crevices between the crystals. The muscovite crystals are green with platy hexagonal form. Ex. Bob Holzer (1934-2009) collection.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 4x3.5x3 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 2-13 mm.
Price: $18 (plus shipping).
