Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 46315:

Minerals Species: Galena with Calcite.
Location of mineral deposit: Rossie Lead Mines, Rossie, St. Lawrence County, New York.
Description: Superb specimen of sharp, well defined gray-metallic galena crystals to 11 across with complex colorless translucent calcite crystals to 10 mm. The galena crystals are cubic form with satin luster. The calcite fluoresces orange under UV illumination. Though many crystals are complete and undamaged, there are missing or incomplete crystals scattered throughout. Ex. S. Nightingale collection #380; originally acquired from Ernie Schlichter (1929-2007).
Overall size of mineral specimen: 7.5x5.5x5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-11 mm.
Price: $450 net (plus shipping).
