Minerals Species: Quartz var. Smoky Gwindel-habit.
Location of mineral deposit: Puiva Deposit, Tyumenskaya Oblast', Sub-Polar Ural Mountains, Russia.
Description: Transparent medium-smoky quartz crystals exhibiting gwindel habit, a twisted formation of stacked doubly-terminated crystals. The quartz is almost completely flawless internally. Most crystal faces are slightly etched, but select faces are glassy. All crystals are complete and undamaged, except the outer edges where it was attached to surrounding matrix. Ex. Bob Holzer (1934-2009) collection.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 7.5x5.5x2 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 50-80 mm.
Price: $400 net (plus shipping).
