Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 46369:

Minerals Species: Spinel with Chondrodite.
Location of mineral deposit: Amity, Orange County, New York.
Description: Octahedral purplish-black spinel crystals to 21 mm acid-etched from colorless calcite matrix with crude opaque brown chondrodite crystals and translucent brown phlogopite crystals. The acid etching left strange patterns in the calcite. From my personal collection.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 6.5x4x3 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 2-21 mm.
Price: $35 (plus shipping).
