Minerals Species: Celestine.
Location of mineral deposit: Scofield Quarry, Maybee, Monroe County, Michigan.
Description: Stacked formation of doubly-terminated translucent blue-gray celestine (celestite) crystals with lustrous crystal faces. The top and bottom edges of the formation contacted the opposing cavity walls. Scattered damage to the crystal edges throughout.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 3.5x3.5x1.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 5-28 mm.
Price: $38 (plus shipping).
