Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 71420:

Minerals Species: Beryl in Albite.
Location of mineral deposit: Beauregard Quarry, Alstead, Cheshire County, New Hampshire.
Description: Segment of a translucent yellow hexagonal beryl crystal in white albite. The beryl crystal began to separate from the albite on one side, probably due to deformation during blasting, but it is still firmly attached and there is no risk of it fracturing. Personally collected in 1993.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 6.5x6x4 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 40 mm
Price: $18 (plus shipping).
