Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 72281:

Minerals Species: Azurite with partial surface alteration to Malachite.
Location of mineral deposit: Tsumeb Mine, Otavi-Bergland District, Oshikoto, Namibia.
Description: Two sharp azurite crystals on a fragment of light-colored matrix. The azurite crystals are translucent blue with thin surface alteration to green malachite. A malachite pseudomorph would have resulted if the azurite continued to alter to malachite. No damage. Ex. G. McLoughlin collection, originally acquired in 2005.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 30x25x21 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 8-22 mm
Price: $250 (plus shipping).
