Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 72333:

Minerals Species: Beryl var. Aquamarine (cobra-head habit).
Location of mineral deposit: Balochi, Gilgit-Skardu Road, Gilgit-Baltistan (Northern Areas), Pakistan.
Description: Lustrous transparent blue aquamarine crystal, the blue gem variety of the mineral species beryl, with cobra head-shaped termination caused by successive generations of aquamarine crystals growing on the lower aquamarine crystal (multi scepter). No damage. Ex. G. McLoughlin collection, acquired from D. Blauwet in 2006.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 63x14x13 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 63 mm
