Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 72349:

Minerals Species: Grossular Garnet with minor Diopside.
Location of mineral deposit: Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos, Québec, Canada.
Description: Large lustrous transparent orange-brown grossular garnet crystals on beige-colored matrix. The grossular garnet crystals are trapezohedral form with slightly striated faces plus scattered microscopic diopside colorless crystals on the surfaces. Though the crystals are clean and in good condition, a few show damage upon close inspection, but they are minor compared to the relative size of the specimen. Collected ca. 2010.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 6x4.5x3 cm.
Size of individual crystals: micro to 11 mm
Price: $395 (plus shipping).
