Minerals Species: Spodumene var. Triphane.
Location of mineral deposit: Aracuai, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Description: Gem-grade transparent yellow triphane crystal, the yellow gem variety of the mineral species spodumene, with complex crystallization patterns on the faces all around. Large internal areas are flawless and could produce several gemstones to 6 mm. Complete and undamaged except the contact where it was formerly attached to surrounding matrix. Weight: 2.76 grams.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 27x14x7 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 27 mm
Price: $25 (plus shipping).
