Mineral Species: Fluorite (exhibiting multiple generation
zoning). Location of mineral deposit: Middle Mountain, Carroll County, New Hampshire. Description: Translucent green cubic fluorite crystal with a second generation of pale-green fluorite crystals on the outer edges. The fluorite crystals have etched crystal faces resulting in matte luster. The rear of the fluorite reveals the zoned growth layers. Complete and undamaged except the contact where it was formerly attached to surrounding matrix. Collected ca. 1985-90. Overall size of mineral specimen: 32x22x15 mm.
