Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 73443:

Minerals Species: Azurite (twinned crystals) with minor Cerussite.
Location of mineral deposit: Tsumeb Mine, Easter Pocket, Otavi-Bergland District, Oshikoto, Namibia.
Description: Classic specimen of lustrous translucent dark-blue azurite crystals to 18 mm with a 5 mm colorless cerussite crystal on one edge. The azurite crystals exhibit the rare Easter Pocket-habit of broad, flat blades that are contact-twinned. The specimen formed in a cavity with many crystals intersecting in all directions. Most crystals are complete except in areas where they intersected adjacent crystals in the cavity. Ex. Leor Goldberg collection, originally acquired from Danilo Rolando collection #6213; collected in April 1994 (see book: Tsumeb II, pages 243-247).
Overall size of mineral specimen: 6x5.5x4 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 5-15 mm
