Mineral Species: Pyrite with Chalcocite-Djurleite-Bornite coating.
Location of mineral deposit: Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Sonora, Mexico.
Description: Dense cluster of gray-metallic pyrite crystals with white clay matrix between the crystals. The pyrite crystal perched on the top edge measures 28 mm across. The pyrite gray color is caused by a thin chalcocite-djurleite-bornite coating. Collected in 2015.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 32x30x20 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 28 mm
Price: $15 (plus shipping).
