Detailed information on mineral for sale No. 75431:

Mineral Species: Beryl var. Emerald.
Location of mineral deposit: Carmaiba Mine, Bahia, Brazil.
Description: Doubly-terminated crudely crystallized translucent green hexagonal emerald crystals, the green gem variety of the mineral species beryl, with remnants of quartz matrix in the crevices between the emerald crystals. The specimen was extracted from solid rock, not from a cavity, resulting in minor surface imperfections where the surrounding matrix was removed. Collected ca. 1980.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 11x8x5 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 4-8 mm
Price: $28 (plus shipping).
