Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 80084:

Mineral Species: Quartz with Calcite partial overgrowth.
Location of origin: Cavnic Mine, Maramures, Romania.
Description: Large elongated plate of lustrous transparent colorless quartz crystals to 42 mm overgrown on the rear-oriented faces with scalenohedral translucent white calcite crystals to 3 mm, plus the entire bottom of the quartz plate is coated with calcite. No damage. Collected ca. 1995.
Overall size: 31x19x4.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-42 mm
Price: $550 net (plus shipping).
