Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 80179:

Mineral Species: Quartz var. Chalcedony stalactitic formations.
Location of origin: Solo River, Central Java, Indonesia.
Description: Finger-shaped translucent gray chalcedony stalactitic formations that probably formed over rhizoliths. The chalcedony stalactites have tapered hollow core. This find was erroneously labeled as Bamboo Quartz or Bamboo Agate, a name now discredited. No damage. Ex. Jack Troy (1930-2016) collection #S73, originally acquired ca. 1989.
Overall size: 9x6x5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 10-35 mm pseudos
Price: $85 (plus shipping).
