Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 80349:

Mineral Species: Quartz var. Amethyst Quartz.
Location of origin: Catalan Agate-Amethyst District, Southern Paraná Basalt Basin, Artigas, Uruguay.
Description: Plate of lustrous transparent purple amethyst quartz crystals with greenish matrix on the rear. The amethyst quartz crystals are stubby crystals dominated by the termination faces with minimal prism faces. All crystals are complete and undamaged, except the outer edges where it was attached to surrounding matrix. Ex. Miller #M3715.
Overall size: 6x4.5x3 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 4-8 mm
Price: $26 (plus shipping).
